Peugeot 508 1.6 (Petrol / Diesel)

With its next-generation technological equipment, the 508 informs and assists the driver, for peaceful journeys.

The 508 replaces the standard key with electronic recognition (handsfree access and start-up). As a result, by keeping the identifier in their pocket (or bag), the driver can enter the vehicle and start and stop the ignition by simply pressing the Start/Stop button. Upon exiting the vehicle, a simple touch of the handle is enough to lock the vehicle.i

Beneath the central armrest, a USB/jack socket allows you to connect digital music players, smartphones and USB keys. When connected, all information and music files are displayed on the multi-functional screen, and various functions can be accessed from the steering wheel.

The Peugeot 508 can be equipped with the following interactive telematic systems:

  • WIP Sound Radio CD MP3: USB/jack socket as standard for connecting portable players, integrated Bluetooth® handsfree kiti,
  • WIP Nav 2 handsfree navigation kiti: radio CD MP3, 7” colour screen, Navigation Europe, Bluetooth® handsfree kit, USB/jack connection as standard for connecting portable players, access to Peugeot Connect SOS and Peugeot Connect Assistance services.

Arkamys© software installed in WIP Sound and WIP Nav 2 enables a natural soundstage to be recreated. Positioned level with the windscreen, it ensures the harmonious positioning of the instruments and vocals within the space, directed towards passengers. The JBL HIFIi kit with 10 speakers (including a central speaker located on the dashboard and a subwoofer in the boot) contribute to the distribution of sound within the passenger compartment.

Providing valuable assistance for manoeuvres, the "Available Parking Space" function evaluates the size of a space, whether or not it is possible to park there and the level of difficulty of the manoeuvre to be performed. This technology is linked to front and rear Park Assisti which emits sounds at varying intervals depending on the distance that separates the vehicle from the obstacle, as well as providing a visual display on the central screen.
