The new Peugeot 308 SW features an array of innovative new technologies designed to increase its overall performance and enhance your comfort.
At 1,190kg, this sporty wagon is 140kg lighter than its predecessor and responds to the slightest action of its driver. This is made possible by lightweight technology, including the new EMP2 platform and a smaller turbo engine. The aluminium bonnet and composite plastic tailgate also help to keep it light.
The electric power steering is as smooth as it is precise, and bends are negotiated in succession with the greatest of ease. Comfort is assured with smooth suspension, exemplary road holding and noticeable soundproofing. Every journey is a period of pleasure and serenity.
Nothing has been left to chance with this design of the 308 SW, and it is equipped with the most outstanding technologies, ranging from Park Assist* (parallel and perpendicular self-parking), a Blind Spot Monitoring System*, the Reversing Camera*, Keyless Starting and the electric handbrake.

Peugeot offers an extensive range of low emission vehicles – more than half of its vehicles sold worldwide emit less than 140g of CO2 per km. This is made possible via cutting-edge technology, such as the Stop & Start system, as well as a new generation of PureTech engines and Efficient Automatic Transmission 6-speed (EAT6) gearboxes.
With its superior combination of high performance and environmental-friendliness, the 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder and 12-valve PureTech turbo petrol engine was named the 2015 International Engine of the Year, beating four German competitors in the 1-litre to 1.4-litre category to cinch the top spot.
The smaller engine size means you can pay lower road taxes. Although it is extremely light, it is also turbocharged to provide high performance and torque (129hp and 230Nm at 1750rpm). In addition, the environmentally-friendly engine (Euro 6 emissions standard) has high fuel-efficiency, with a superb balancer shaft to give you a smoother drive.
Little wonder then that this engine won the 2014 Great Auto Environment Prize across all categories at the 10th edition of the Auto Environment MAAF 2014, which promotes sustainable innovations that reduce the impact on the environment.
The 6-speed automatic transmission, dubbed EAT6 (Efficient Automatic Transmission 6), incorporates Quickshift technology to facilitate faster gear changes without compromising on operational smoothness.
It also dramatically reduces CO2 emissions, producing 5g/km less CO2 than manual transmission cars with the same tyres.
