208 1.2 PureTech EAT6 5-Door (Petrol)



The new PEUGEOT 208 now features the EAT6 automatic gearbox with six-speed converter on its 1.2 l PureTech 110 S&S version, optimising fuel consumption while heightening your driving sensations. Also included is Quickshift technology, which delivers frequent gear changes swiftly and fluently.

Meanwhile, its yield (energy efficiency) virtually equals that of a manual gearbox thanks to a reduction in internal friction and the activation of converters that lock whenever required to avoid slippage.

All of which means the difference in emissions between this and a manual gearbox has been cut down to just 1 g/km (with ISO standard tyres fitted), making this version an exceptionally fine performer in terms of both driving enjoyment and fuel consumption.

PureTech engines


Modular and compact, combining superb quality with exceptional performance, this 3-cyclinder engine blends efficiency with cutting-edge technology. The driving pleasure it provides is among the finest available, even at very low reves, and it offers a first-rate low torque/high power balance. So without any loss in terms of power or enjoyment, this technological breakthrough delivers reductions of up to 25% in fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions.

The new PEUGEOT 208 features economical petrol engines, all of which offer combined cycle fuel consumption of less than 4.5 l/100 km.i

The turbo 1.2 l PureTech 110 S&S EAT6 version comes with the new EAT6 automatic gearbox and delivers CO₂ emissions of just 104 g/km i, making it the benchmark automatic petrol engine in its segment.

BlueHDi engines


The present generation of BlueHDi engines in the new PEUGEOT 208 all comply with the Euro 6 standardi.

BlueHDi engines combine superior performances, controlled fuel consumption and reduced emissions. In the new PEUGEOT 208, all these engines offer CO₂ emissions below 95 g/km, plus an impressive 3.6 l/100kmi. This makes the 1.6 l BlueHDi family the most economical, fuel-efficient range of diesel motors on the market, with record combined cycle CO₂ emissions of just 79 g/km for the low consumption 75 hp and 100 hp versionsiBusiness version, depending on the country.

All of them except the 1.6 l BlueHDi 75 version feature a Stop & Start with an enhanced ignition.



BlueHDI technology helps to optimise consumption (i: From 3 l/100 km in the combined cycle in accordance with Directive 99/100/EC) thanks to SCRi and FAPi

By installing SCR upstream of the FAP (additive particulate filter) system, we have been able:

  • To reduce NOx (nitrogen oxide) by up to 90%.
  • To eliminate up to 99.9% of all particle emissions.
  • To optimise CO₂ emissions and fuel consumption (up to -4% compared with Euro 5 engines).
  • Faster start-up - following ignition - thanks to the ability to function at low temperature.



Fast, efficient and silent, Stop & Start technology allows the engine to be put on "standby" just before and after a stationary period. The result is improved control of fuel consumption and a reduction in CO₂ emissions.

When the brake pedal is released, the engine is instantly restarted, with no noise or vibrations.



The new PEUGEOT 208, in his very low consumption version of the 1,6 BlueHDi 100 S&S with the five-speed manual gearbox has just set a new consumption record on long distance approved by the UTAC on the Belchamp french racetrack.

2152 km have been covered in 38 hours i with 43 liters of diesel, being an average consumption of fuel of only 2,0l/100 km. This second record confirms the technology excellence of the Diesel Euro 6 BlueHDi engine and its contribution to the reduction of CO₂ emissions.

The new Peugeot 208 positions itself as the mondial reference for a standard model equipped with a thermal engine.
