Hands-off Automation

There are also other luxuries befitting someone of your stature: dual sun-visors with lighted vanity mirrors, electric folding side mirrors, a car fi nder, cruise control, rear sunblinds and keyless start/stop*.

The motorised tailgate (SW model only) is controllable remotely for hands-free operation. Automatic rain sensors that intelligently adjust to speed and rain intensity to provide optimum visibility, while automatic headlight illumination ensures that headlights will be activated in low light conditions, even in sheltered car parks and tunnels.

Even the 4-zone air conditioning* with rear airvents is smart. The driver, front and rear passengers can all control their own air conditioning levels.

A USB/jack  socket installed in a storage compartment under the central armrest offers easy connection of portable equipment. Keyless Entry with Push/Start Button*

Replacing the conventional mechanical key, this system simplifi es access to and the starting of 508 or 508 SW. Just having the electronic key with you will unlock the doors. And you can start and  stop the engine with a simple press of the Start/Stop button. Finally, when leaving the car, just brushing the handle with a hand will lock the vehicle’s doors.

Electric Parking Brake and Hill Assist

The absence of a traditional hand brake lever allows for additional storage space, while the Hill  Assist feature prevents the car from rolling back or forth for up to 2 seconds and stops wheel spin  when you start on slopes with slippery surfaces.

• Follow-me-home lights: The headlights stay on for a few seconds after you’ve used the remote to lock or unlock the car. This helps illuminate your way, alerting you to everything in the environment.

• Fog lamps (front and rear): Ensures that you are seen, even in inclement weather.

• Anti-pinch windows: Car windows will not close if there is something jammed in the way. Prevents your fi ngers from getting caught.

Preventing the Unexpected

• Front and rear sensors with parking space sensor*: Parallel parking guide measures the space available and indicates whether you can park and the level of diffi culty of the manoeuvre to be carried out.

• Electric Parking Brake*: The car intelligently applies the electric parking brake when the engine is stopped. The brake is then automatically released on acceleration. In addition, the absence of a hand brake lever allows additional storage space.

• Hill Assist: The Hill Assist function, coupled with the electric parking brake, maintains the brake temporarily for 2 seconds when the vehicle is on a slope.

Safety is Absolute

• Cruise control with speed limiter: Allows a constant speed to be maintained automatically. You can use the multifunction steering wheel to set a maximum speed.

• Emergency Brake Assist (EBA): When you hit the brakes hard, you activate the EBA which applies maximum braking power in milliseconds to bring you to a  halt quickly and safely.

• Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS): This maintains control of the steering and prevents the car from skidding under heavy braking.

• Electronic Stability Programme (ESP): This combines a host of braking  techniques to ensure a high level of safety, including control of the acceleration  and braking at each wheel and traction-balancing which helps keep your car stable in times of emergency.

2 ISOFIX Positions on Rear Seats

• Equipped with ISOFIX fi xtures on the rear seats, this enhances the child safety features.

• 2 of the rear seats come with compliant child safety seat attachment points, ensuring that the little ones are securely fastened in for the ride.

6 Airbags (Front, Side and Curtain) and Head Rests


• In the event of collision, 6 air bags increase the protection of the occupants: 2 front air bags, 2 front side air bags and 2 curtain air bags covering front and rear.

• The front head rests on 508 and 508 SW are designed to allow precise positioning at the required height. Their size and fold-over shape allows close adjustment to the heads of the occupants for a high level of protection against whiplash.
