This advanced direct injection twin-scroll turbocharged 16-valve twin camshaft engine with a 6-speed "Tiptronic System Porsche" automatic gearbox delivers a high performance of 156hp and 240Nm of Torque from 1600-4000rpm. In other words, you get performance worthy of a 2.4L car, but without the hefty COE price tag and road tax.

In addition to having a superb drive and torquey response, the 308 CC also meets the stringent EURO 5 Emissions standard and is extremely fuel-efficient with a Combined EC Cycle of 13.0km/litre.

In addition to side thorax and pelvis airbags, the front seats are each mounted with a side head airbag to guarantee effective protection for every part of the body, no matter what position the seat is in.

Automatically-deployable rear roll bars

A sensor detects any risk of the vehicle rolling, factoring in the vehicle's speed and any angle it may adopt. Then, in a few milliseconds (less than the blink of an eye), it triggers the instantaneous explosive deployment of extractable roll bars which, along with the window posts, create a protective cell around the passengers.

Anti-theft security
Automatic remote-control locking of interior storage compartments (glove box and storage under the central armrest) will be activated when the vehicle is locked, so the 308 CC is secure even with its top down.

5-Star Euro NCAP safety rating

Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) System

A traction-balancing safety feature that ensures greater stability in hazardous situations through targeted braking of individual wheels to help stabilise the vehicle.
The innovative ESP system also comprises:

- Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR), which acts on the brakes and the engine control in order to limit wheel slippage in the event of losing road holding.

- Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) continuously monitors steering information to detect any understeering or oversteering and then, within the limits of the law of physics, puts the 308 CC back on its initial path.

Collapsible Steering Column
The steering column of the 308 CC moves down instantaneously in the event of a head-on collision, preventing the gearbox from being pushed back into the cabin, hence lowering chances of harming the driver. An engine drop-crash function also ensures that the engine drops down harmlessly away from the driver when it detects impending danger.

Braking performance and efficiency
Braking efficiency is enhanced by several technologies. The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) maintains control fo the vehicle's path when braking in an emergency. Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) manages the pressure of each wheel for more effective braking when cornering.

In addition, the Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), coupled with Emergency Brake Warning Lights, activate in the event of sharp acceleration to reduce braking distance effectively while alerting drivers behind to minimize collisions at all times.
