Peugeot seems intent on keeping their promise of taking it off in a whole new direction. Hot on the heels of the dream car turned into reality - the RCZ - comes another iconic model for the French automobile maker - the 508.
Flanked by detailed feline headlights, the front is newly-designed for a younger, sleeker visage. The sculpted profile is beautifully refined and complemented by contouring glass surfaces outlined by brushed chrome. Seen in person, it is truly a class above most.

Inside, the car is just as impressive. A stylish fascia panel echoes the sleek exterior design and creates an air of exclusivity and luxury. Headroom is ample, as is knee-room for rear passengers. New-generation technologies, a reassuring sense of quality, and regal on-board comfort contribute to the magnificent aura.
Like all else in the 508, the drive is exceptional. The car glides effortlessly over potholes and bumps, hardly disturbing passengers. The handling is responsive, but next too light.
You will find that the award-winning 1.6-litre turbo engine is as powerful as a normal 2.2-litre one. But it will be no noisy ride, as perfectly-applied sound insulation means you hear almost nothing from the outside. This is quiet luxury at its best.
