MOVERS AND SHAKERS TEST-DRIVE THE RCZ
It is fitting that a dream-come-true is being driven by those who have made it a habit to realise their won dreams. Peugeot asked three of Singapore's young successes about their experience with the RCZ.
Phil Poon
Owner of Filter Club
Born and raised in Australia, Phil learned there about parties that catered to the affluent. This made him form Elegantly Wasted to bring such parties to Singapore, which it did successfully. Phil then followed-on with the launch of Massive Collective, a Marketing and Events Agency, and Filter Members Club, a VIP club for the affluent partier. For him, not only do dreams come true, they do so in style.
What's your advice for those who are pursuing their dreams?
Believe in yourself and that you can achieve your dreams, and never let great opportunities slip by. In addition, make sure you have great partners who share the same vision as you do.
How do you think the RCZ complements your lifestyle?
Not only does it drive well, that sleek design of the car appeals to me. I have a busy schedule, hence I like things in my life to be simple, sleek and yet able to keep up with me - all also traits of the RCZ.
Tell me about your experience with driving the car.
The car has amazing torque and the way it hugs every turn on the road was amazing.
Where did you drive to?
I took the car around Orchard and of course to Filter as well.
Did you have any interesting encounters while driving the RCZ?
I had to meet Celebrity DJ Vice at his hotel. When he saw the RCZ, he was so excited that he wanted to ride with me.
Hazel Chong
Founder of Eclecticism and Lauren Jasmine
Despite graduating with a degree in accounting and finance, Hazel Chang bucked all expectations, and chose instead to pursue her dreams in the world of fashion. She launched her first boutique, Eclecticism, in 2006. And in November 2010, Hazel created her own women's label, Lauren Jasmine, through since she weaves dreams into reality as co-designer.
What's your advice for those who are pursuing their dreams or passion?
Be 100% committed and once they are ready to take the risk to pursue it, they must never give up.
How do you think the RCZ complements your lifestyle?
In the day while I manage Eclecticism and Lauren Jasmine, it takes me to all the places I need to go with style. While at night, it is the perfect kind of car to accompany me through my active social lifestyle. The RCZ is definitely ideal for someone like me who is dynamic and always on-the-go.
How was the experience with the drive?
I enjoyed it very much. I find that the car handles very well and feels very safe and stable even at high speeds.
Where did you take it to?
I took the car to both my stores Eclectricism and Lauren Jasmine. i also brought it to Spruce for lunch and Food For Thought for dinner.
Did you have any interesting encounters while driving the RCZ?
I definitely received a lot of envious remarks from friends.
Timothy Chia
Head of Marketing & Events, Zouk
While studying at the University of St. Andrews, Scotland, Tim discovered a love for dance music. This passion led his career away from a life in the public service to what Tim terms as his 'dream job' as part of the Zouk team. In his spare time, Tim plays tennis and basketball to keep fit but admits that these days, most of the exercise he gets is on the dance floor.
What's your advice for those who are pursuing their dreams or passion?
If you really, truly believe in something and an opportunity presents itself, go for it!
How do you think the RCZ complements your lifestyle?
It makes the process of getting to my destination a really enjoyable one.
How was the experience with the drive?
Most enjoyable indeed. It was a real pleasure to push this beauty!
Where did you take the car to?
I drove it to my office, around town and to the East of Singapore.
Was there any interesting encounter you had when you were driving the RCZ?
Some curious people stared at me as they had either never seen the car of me before!
Does this car make you feel sexy?
It has certainly made me feel like a fast and skillful driver as I took to the mean streets of Singapore.
